Rent out my car
Your car sits idle most of the time, and it still costs you: insurance, depreciation, battery. Here, you rent it to people who need it for a day or for three weeks. You set your price, you decide on the security deposit, and you collect the rent directly.
What you stay in control of
Your price
You set it freely. We show no benchmark, no price range and no default value: the site does not suggest prices.
Your dates
You tell us when the car is unavailable, and nothing is booked until we have called you. It is your personal car.
The security deposit
You decide whether to ask for one, and how much. Many owners ask for none — it is not customary here. You collect it and return it yourself.
Who you rent to
We call you before every booking. You can say no, without having to explain why.
The resident rate
Optional: you decide whether to offer a resident rate to renters who live in Senegal, and how much. Nothing obliges you to.
Your length-of-rental discounts
Six tiers, all empty to begin with. You fill in the ones you want to offer and leave the others empty.
What it costs you, exactly
Nothing to sign up, nothing to publish, nothing on requests that do not go ahead. A commission of 15% incl. tax on the rental amount, and you are never asked to pay it.
The renter pays 20% online when booking: your 15% commission, which they pay on your behalf, and 5% service fees that are theirs to pay. You receive the balance on site, when the keys are handed over. You have nothing to pay back to us afterwards.
What the renter sees, and why we tell you
The listing shows your rate plus the renter’s service fees. If you set 22,000 F, the listing will show 23,100 F. This amount does not come out of your pocket, but you will see it on the site — better to tell you now than to let you find out. You set your price, and that is the basis: nobody steps in between you and your renter to take a cut.
This difference is also what allows us to run a promotion by cutting into our share, without asking you to lower your price.
If you offer a resident discount, it is on your side. It is deducted from the rental amount before the commission is calculated — a resident pays less, and our share goes down with it.
What protects you
Category 8, required of everyone
No listing is published without a valid category 8 insurance certificate. It is demanding at the start, and it is what ensures your vehicle is actually covered when it is rented.
The dated presentation
You film the vehicle before every rental, with the number plate and odometer visible. The file is dated and kept by the platform; it does not replace the joint condition report, which alone is proof of the vehicle’s condition.
The condition report, by both parties
At departure and on return. The link is sent to you, as it is to the renter.
An identified renter
We call before every booking and each booking has a single WhatsApp number. A change of number on an account does not go through without us.
What we do not do, and what is worth knowing
We do not insure your vehicle.
The insurance is yours, and you take it out. We check that the certificate you submit is category 8 and valid, nothing more.
We do not hold the security deposit.
It is settled between you and the renter, and we have no power to decide on its return.
We do not inspect vehicles mechanically.
We check the documents: registration certificate, roadworthiness test, insurance, road tax sticker. The mechanical condition is your responsibility.
We do not set your price and we do not suggest one.
The price benchmarks we hold are internal data, reserved for our team.
